I think it's great to be so aware of the wastage that goes into our food production, packaging and transportation.<br />I'm making a much lower scale attempt to reduce packaging on food, and to source food locally where possible. I have been going to a Weigh n Pay store with my own containers to buy flours, grain etc. The good(?) news is that my weigh n pay store sells potato crisps, chocolates and lollies without packaging as well, but that may be missing the point slightly, considering these things would probably be supplied in plastic packaging before being put into the bulk bins.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09970124556614694244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7895511323987472467.post-85372956913132745252012-01-09T11:45:31.160+11:002012-01-09T11:45:31.160+11:00Good on you! this is something i've really wan...Good on you! this is something i've really wanted to do too. i hate how much stuff comes in plastic! i'm going to try really hard to avoid bring plastic packaging into my house too; after our trash gets sorted into the compost and recycling, plastic packaging seems to be the only thing i put in my regular garbage. good luck!Milkbar cafe + workshophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02534319792851527435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7895511323987472467.post-20377367425928303102012-01-08T22:13:19.395+11:002012-01-08T22:13:19.395+11:00I really admire your target! I've been getting all our fruit & veg at the greengrocer rather than the supermarket in order to cut down on the plastic packaging. Our bin still seems to be full of plastic though...Thrifty Householdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13043667290330488244noreply@blogger.com
